Quite agree. Brilliant, just brilliant and crying out for an Anchor Bay special...

So many films, so little time...

Yeah, I mentioned it here (http://www.thedvdforums.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=101884&highlight=electra+glide)
Wasn't in all ITV regions.
I have the original Warner VHS. Looks like a MGM DVD release now -here's hoping they get their finger out.

This was a kick-ass film! One of Robert Blake's better roles - right up there with In Cold Blood and Tell Them Willie Boy Is Here IMO. You don't see the ending coming either - always a sign of a good film! :D
Well if Robert Blake goes darn or gets the needle or whatever, they are bound to bring out a bells 'n' whistles version!
Surely?!
maybe they could get a commentary from him first though!

Robert Blake is the creepy 'Mystery Man' in Lynch's Lost Highway in case anyone didn't know.
Something more on Electra Glide in Blue (http://www.destgulch.com/movies/electra/) (which means a blue (police) coloured Harley Davidson Electra Glide motor bike) -in case you didn't know

does anyone know the name of the song at the end of the film ?
i love the atmosphere in this film, kinda like the lonely and sad feeling from Mad Max 1.
And did anyone feel sorry for Robert Blakes character throughout the film, maybe cos he was short :)
like he was trying really hard to get promoted but no one really cared for him or listened to him well until the last part of the film, but then the ending killed it all .

Now that's a good reason for a spoiler box!
No idea what the last song is but the music list is here (http://us.imdb.com/Soundtracks?0070022). I'll listen tomorrow if I have time.
I loved his character -well made film with nice characters all the way through in fact.
The song is "Tell Me" by Chicago (ugh!!!! - but it actually works well int the context of the film). The film's director, also credited with the score, was involved with the band as a manager-songwriter-producer figure.
Is it his only film? If it was a vanity project, he certainly pulled it off. Wonderful. The screening on ITV the other night was the first chance I have had to revisit the film in some years. Got it taped this time :p .
We made a Billy "Green" Bush double bill of it by preceeding it with our tape of the utterly wonderful "Alice Doesn't Live Here Any More", Scorsese's only great film for my money. Now that's another one which is long overdue on DVD.
(We we had begun on the basis of an Ellen Burstyn double with the awesome "Requiem for a Dream". At least that was on disc! :) .)

...up there with In Cold Blood
Another one badly needed on a DVD that does it justice.

Agree entirely. And a neat twist on "Easy Rider".

"Give me back my phone."
