Can anyone help by briefly explaining how a digital camera works, e.g if I bought a sony DCRTRV18 with a 'memory stick', how much record time would I get?. Is this different to MiniDV?. I know I'm a philistine, but I want to understand the capabilities of a camera before I pay out.
