Hey there people,
saw this a while ago (cheers tj for lending it to me) and immediately got a copy myself, one of the best films i've ever seen, incredible, flawless, beautiful and so amazingly moving... I highly reocmmend this film, one I had never heard of before... Zhang Ziyi is in it and although it's a very very simple and short love story, it's just ... well, words cant describe its beauty... what you people think of it?
Been looking to download the music on winmx with no luck, might just have to order the CD from play :(:(
Yep. Fantastic film.
Tears are guaranteed at the end and it features a supreme amount of screentime for Ono's Second Fave Babe in teh World. :norty:
Deinitely in my Top 10 films ever. Shame we don't have Special Edition or something.
Also - note how subtle the use of surround is in the film. Good stuff.

anyone know the cheapest place to get the soundtrack, or anyone got the mp3's i can download? :):) i just want the main theme really...

Yonathan Gal - You'll love most of Zhang Yimou's movies if you like this one. His earlier stuff (non DVD releases - BOO!) are head and shoulders better than the way home which I liked too.
However, the Koreans are making the best melodramas and you must really check out the Korean thread for ideas.

Just listen to the Titanic OST... ;) :) :nuts:
*The road home pays obvious homage to the Titanic which was a massive hit in China.

yeah it does play homage, but in ways I prefer the road home music. Titanic had excellent music but when I listen to road home I have the satisfaction of knowing the film itself was actually good aswell!! :)

Yeah, I'm a big fan of this movie... I only really bought it due to the fact that Zhang Ziyi was in it, but the film itself blew me away...
Actually, I think I'm gonna watch it again tonight!!! :D

So did I Staffy, but I found it to be one of the most endearing love stories on film. Found Ziyi to be still very pretty even in those unsightly bulky clothes.
...and maybe it was the clothes, that made her run in a funny way :D
