Digital Camcorder - Advice on purchase please

I need a new Digital Camcorder and want to spend about £400

I'm not really into all the editing side of it so it's not essential but if it comes with the camera I'll have a go

I had a Panasonic before and was going to avoid but as I've software for the PC and a battery it might save me money in the long run to stick with Panasonic however I'm not adverse to other brands.

Can anyone give me a review of their own camera/experiences ?
