View Full Version : Any News of Black Hawk Down?
Is there any further news on the 3 disc DTS version of this? Been nearly a year (in May?) since the first version was released and I still won't buy it until this version appears........

Never heard of a three disc version. Was't the two disc R2 enough for you? It's superb. I don't see the point of a 3rd disc just for DTS. A superbit would be good enough.

I read somewhere that the 3 disc version will be the normal R2 2 disc version with another disc of extras.
There isn't going to be a DTS soundtrack as far as I know.

I thought the three disc version was a french special edition. I can't see Black Hawk Down being the sort of film where they'd release a extra special edition when theres already a special edition 2 disc mind. The French attitude to films is different to ours and you'll often find them putting out better editions of films than the companies in the UK.
see blackhawk down 3 disc french edition (http://www.amazon.fr/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00006BSNT/qid=1045324476/sr=1-2/ref=sr_1_2_2/171-3800451-9160264) available at dvd zone 2 (http://www.dvdzone2.com/dvd/detail.asp?id=119949)

The three disc version I heard will be R1 (came from a US DVD website).
There will be a R1 special edition this year. It will propably be a 3-discer and have the same extras as the French 3-disc set. And like the Frech set there propably won't be a DTS track because of the many commentary tracks.
Ram the commentary tracks I just want dts! :smokin:

There is a Danish version which has a DTS soundtrack as well and has been reviewed here (http://www.electronicreality.co.uk/reviews/black_hawk_down.htm)

Any idea which reliable sites sell either the Dutch or Danish versions?
Danish version which i have from www.dvdoo.com £16 quid ish i think. Its short on extras but the film sounds superb in DTS.
what about this (http://www.dvddebate.com/article.php?sid=3196&mode=thread&order=0&thold=0) R4 3 disc release - May 14th.
That sounds fantastic! R1 SE will be identical to this I reckon so I think I'm on the lookout for this at a nice price
