I was in Jumbo records today and saw they had Tindersticks listed for a gig at Leeds City Varities (http://www.leeds.gov.uk/cityvarieties/) so I nipped down to the venue and bagged myself 3 tickets. They've only just gone on sale and I got the middle of the front row. It's on Wed 4th June and tickets are £15 each. To get best tickets go direct to the venue as Jumbo cost £1.50 more and had a block at the back of the venue.

It's been an expensive but very fuitful day as I've also nabbed tickets for Radiohead & Electric Six.

:D :D :D

If you haven't seen them before then you're in for a real treat. I had the pleasure of being in the front row at their open-air concert at Somerset House in London last summer and it was incredible. They are stunning live and were backed by a 12-piece string section. It was, by some distance, the finest gig I've ever been to.

I saw em at the Leeds Irish Centre a few years back and they were marvellous and this should be a fantastic night.

Seen 'em five times - one of the best bands in the world, and who can effortlessly top their recorded material (which is already ace) live. There's a reason that there are three different official live albums knocking around... :notworthy

The venue for the gig is a fantastcic small old theatre so I'm really looking forward it.

Very tempted by the Bristol gig... the ticket website mentioned on the band's site doesn't mention the band at all though.

Seeing them in Brighton tonight. Will be the third time i've seen them, they are simply incredible live. Anyone know how big the live set up is this time (are they bringing a string section)?

Also looking forward to seeing James Yorkston - really like his record.

Just the five of them this time and James Yorkston was also excellent but only got 30 mins which was a shame.

They were great although they had a few technical problems in the first half of the set....and a fire alarm went off half way through causing all the house lights to come on and the band having to leave the stage. :(

Still they continued and played a great mix of new and old stuff.
