Very very nice it is too.
Seems to be less of a concept album than their last record, but again its a case of 'every track a winner'. Single 'Now its On' is pretty indicative of the vibe, but unusually there are a few potential singles here.
No doubt it will improve on every listen, like their first 2 albums, but immediate impressions are great.

Cool - loved the last album!
Great stuff. Looking forward to June when this is out, or is it earlier now? Hope they do a tour at the same time too.
Yup, very impressed with it too!

Thank god these guys are back. The music scene has been a lesser place without 'em!
They're a cool band, but I'm still not sure about the whole 'beards and caps' look they've got going on stage. Not one of the most interesting acts to watch, but nice on CD...

After one listen I'm pretty confident this will be one of my albums of the year.

Only a couple of weeks now until its release so I thought I'd bump this thread up. It's the best new album I've heard so far this year!

I do like it, but it is very 'samey' for a Grandaddy record. The same hooks and melodies are used throughout.
I prefer the similar sounding Thrills record I think.

So what happened to every track being a winner?
You should write for the NME Lou - you're soooo fickle.
:D

Just a quick bump for this to say how much Im still loving it.
Despite the negative press this is up there among their greatest work for me - definitely a grower.

It's a great record to listen to now the sun's out.
I love this album aswell, first Grandaddy album I have listened to. I have the Sophtware Slump aswell now, and love that too

I think this record is a bit samey and doesn't really compare to the truly awesome Sophtware Slump. And to quote Q:
"Where are the songs about robots?" :D
Good album, just not in the same league as it's predecessor.
This has pretty much been the soundtrack to my flat for the last six weeks or so. It's getting slightly overtaken now by 2 Many DJs part 6 and Hang All DJs part 1 though
