Well, there are some great albums that you guys are listening to at the moment, so much so that I have decided to have my 2 cents worth as well if I may!!
Here goes (in no particular order and just the ones that are hanging around my desk at the moment)
Ben Christophers Spoonface (chilled out greatness)
Fugazi 13 Songs (makes me feel 17 again)
Steve Malkmus & the Jicks Pig Lib (just got it so still evaluating it, I think I like it!!! Loved the last one)
Jason Falkner Auther Unknown (fantastic stuff indeed, used to be in Jellyfish)
Royksopp Melody AM (more chilled out greatness!)
Super Furry Animals Rings Around The World (great on CD but better on DVD with the vids)
Norah Jones Come Away With Me (gorgeous tunes)
Koop Waltz For Koop (Jazzy sequel to Songs of Koop)
Ben Folds Rockin The Suburbs (top first solo CD)
Snuzz Harper (One of Ben Folds buddies doing similar but different stuff!)
Macabre Grim Reality (played at 33 1/3 instead of the proper 45rpm (remember vinyl anyone?) because it sounds best that way!!!)
Cheers all for sharing their lists, makes for interesting reading.

Some great stuff there folks.
Last week I've been revisting some old stuff and things...

DJ Shadow - Endtroducing (magnificent.)
UNKLE - Psyence Fiction (one of my faves.)
Faith No More - Album of the Year (patchy, some great tracks tho)
The Clash - London Calling (would take a long time to grow sick of it!)
Massive Attack - Mezzanine (never really got into it upon its release, giving it another spin and really like it)
Sneaker Pimps - Becoming X (I liked this album when it came out - was watching The Wicker Man a few weeks back and "How Do" (the Britt Ekland bit :) ) reminded me that the Pimps did a cover on this album....great tune, and some other classics of course, like 6 Underground.
I see some of you have mentioned an UNKLE album of some sort, "Do Androids....Beats"?
Excuse my ignorance, but any more info on this? What is it? Where to get it etc? I have just started using the music thread on here, so a little disorientated! :)

Underworld - A Hundred Days Off
Quite like it......in another thread, someone called it aural wallpaper, which is a pretty accurate description. :)
Creed: Weathered.
I wasn't sure if I would like this album as it seemed rather 'light' for my tastes, but now it's on constantly.

I would say so. There's a real Americana feel to the album and the music also has a timeless quality about it. He does an amazing cover of David Bowie's 'Let Dance' that's worth getting the album for alone.
The standout track by far though, is 'Vincent O'Brien'. Great voice.
Just Like Blood - Tom McRae
O - Damien Rice
Details - Frou Frou
The Definitive Collection - Stevie Wonder
Ben Folds Live - surprisingly, Ben Folds.
Just borrowed Blur's Think Tank on the basis of the new single, Out of Time, but only had one listen through. Like what I've heard, but the jury will be out til I have a few more listens.

Yeah The Black Keys are basically sub-White Stripes with the gruff sounding singer from Gomez on vocals...though the album is growing on me a little.
I must get the Simian record, though I didnt like the last LP as much as everyone else....the single Mark and Lard have been playing is amazing though !
Reel Big Fish...got reccomended to me and i quite like it (although I don;t like ska in general really)
Radiohead - Hail To The Thief... still. Surely I can't be the only person who loves this and thinks that it's undoubtably their best since OK Computer... :notworthy

If it's any consolation, I'm gutted about missing the tour as well... I heard a few weeks back that they were playing here in Cardiff and kept meaning to check the dates to order tickets, assuming it would be around or after the time of the album's release. On a bit of a 60's/70's trip at the mo':
"Bedazzled" Soundtrack (the original 60's Pete 'n' Dud film). Mostly good quality cocktail jazz, but contains the cod-psych title track and the insane "Leaping Nun's Chorus"
"HTTT", of course..
"London Calling" - The Clash (Father's Day pressie)
"True Love Stories" - Jilted John
"Hi-Fi"- Hugh Cornwell
"The Electric Banana Blows Your Mind". by Electric Banana. Another 60's thing. Actually the legendary Pretty Things, under a nom-de-plum. Mostly good quality psych, recorded around the time of "SF Sorrow"
"Trojan Dub" Box Set. (Vol.2)
And the new Metallica album. But not from choice. I'm copping the fallout from my daughter's repeated playing of it. Is there such a thing as secondary metal?

I used to have a problem with them. I sort of used to mentally classify them as 'prog' and (much as I love pysch & garage) I have an old punk's hatred of prog (Genesis, Yes etc) and thus used to avoid 'em like the plague.
But an accidental hearing of a Porcupine Tree track last year made me realise that perhaps I'd been a little hasty, cos what I heard was more ambient/psych. And what I've heard so far on this sampler is pretty good and makes me want hear more.

t.A.T.u - 200km/h In The Wrong Lane; and
The Dixie Sluts - Home
Recently i have been listening mostly to The Wedding Present : Hit Parade....check out the sublime cover version of Pleasant Valley Sunday on disc 2:D
...I've also been playing Lou Reeds 'The Raven' two disc special edition quite a lot.....very interesting project which combines selections from Edgar Allen Poe with music from Reed and readings from the likes of Steve Buscemi and Willem Dafoe...refreshingly different.
Listening to Rob Dougan's Furious Angels, a quality album. If a little different to what I expected. Its like a film soundtrack, very cool.

Grace by Jeff Buckely - had it a while now and it's never had it's chance but I'm really loving it at the moment. Technique by Joy Division is also a big flavour at the moment!

Playing the new Steely Dan CD just now - sounding better than "Two Against Nature" IMO, although I enjoyed that as well.
Also, "The Nightfly" by Donald Fagen (all time classic) and the Canned Heat Cookbook, which I've listened to, on and off, for over 30 years. :)
