I cancelled SKY 2 months ago (got fed up with paying £38 per month) and they have just phoned and offered me it for £19 p/m for 6 months with no obligation.
So I said yes and asked how long it would take to activate it and they told me anytime within 2 hours. It took about 2 mins and I have the footy on  :D
Come on the Trotters :p

Well done Mr Speed  Very consistant through out the season and thoroughly deserved.
I'm just biting them fingernails waiting for the final table as I could be as high as 5th or maybe even as low as 9th.

Kronik does the double :D
next week
It's the Cup final and then the prize selecting can begin!
Forgot all about the Cup Final. I thought the prizes were being picked today.
As for my season: the first week was good, the last week was good and...oh, that was it. ;)
7 points away from the prizes - bah, I hate everybody who finished above me :p
Wish i had joined this at the beginning, hope ya doit next season, cos me name will be down first
Well done all you winners
I hope finishing last doesn't mean I relegated (although I did take liberties with the last few predictions!).

In fact the prize choosing can actually begin now:
This table shows how the selections should be made. As mentioned before, when deciding who should pick first and from which 'pile' I have taken into consideration the point at which the extra prizes were donated and the competitions introduced as a result.
For example, the first to choose will be Kronik from Pot B. Pot B being the balance of donations by JohnMac just before Christmas when the Christmas comp was introduced as a result - dean_tipton chose his winning prizes and these remain (including a Trilogy!)
So the picking order for the moment is as follows:
1st - Kronik : 2 from Pot B (yellow)
2nd - MrSpeed : 10 from A, B, C
3rd - dean_tipton : 6 from A, B, C
4th - BlueDwarf : 4 from A, B, C
the next person to choose will be the winner of the FA Cup Competition.
p.s. - With those offering 'New' purchases from Play, I'm sure you can 'negotiate' with stakeholder if you wish to purchase from another site or take Nochex/vouchers in place of a disc. - Nujol I believe mailed me to say he'd be happy to do Nochex instead.

yep in some respects you are lucky in that get to pick from a crop of quality but then again beauty is in the eye of the beholder and it's only fair.
We all entered the competition knowing that the DVD's on offer may not be 'superb' but were there to take part nonetheless!
The JohnMac contributions were just a nice added bonus!
:D
Ok I'll take the Godfather Trilogy & Hollow man please!
Thankyou very much. :D
And a special thankyot to Dubby, Mark R, & JohnMac for making a great competition!. :notworthy

you are a very generous man - I'll take "West Ham Utd - The Glory Years" - which equates to nothing! - well if no objections I'll take my own (seeing as funds are tight!) and say thank you very much indeed.
I'm afraid I can't amend the list of prizes to show what's been had because I don't own the hosting - that belongs to MarkR - for the moment you'll have to make a note of what's been picked and choose from the remainder and I'll update the list later.
again, thanks MrSpeed and thanks to all for the thanks but thanks should also go to everyone involved in the 'taking part' - the occassional error, heads-up, hosting and table advice certainly helped to keep this entertaining
Never before have I cheered then cursed then cheered then cursed so much throughout Saturday afternoons!
I think it was pompeyfan who said at the start "can't we include 1st Division teams" so his Pompey could be involved - well next we'll do 1st Division only hows that! :p
dean_tipton, you're up next!

Also, when it comes time to send mine out, what method of delivery would be best? I don't do much trading so I don't really know which postage method to use. Registered delivery?

But if it's possible I'd stick the name of the winner next to the dvd that way people know who they're sending too/contacting (if possible of course)

I know for some it's academic but it's worth a go - here's the current table:

Arsenal 3 - 2 Southampton

THE TOP FOUR SHOULD MAIL ME WITH THEIR PREDICTIONS - wilgoss@yahoo.co.uk - as can anyone else if they like but easier to do it here if you're not involved in the prizes please
I've e-mailed dean_tipton and BlueDwarf. But then I noticed that BlueDwarf is doing well in the FA Cup competition.

of the 4 relevant predictions I only await that of rooster
of the three I have received.........it is very interesting !!! and now I have to decide do i post before kick off, during the game (if I can get to a PC) or afterwards
mwuhahahahahahahahahaha !
(damn!!! the individuals concerned could mutiny and post after kick off to spoil my sense of power!)

All the 'important' predictions are now received and of the four......
only two are identical !
I don't want to post them yet just in case someone wants to amend theirs!
I'll send them to Alan b. in the hope that he's about later and can then post them just after kick off.
I haven't sent any of the DVDs off yet because the people they are being sent off to could still be in the running for more prizes. I'll hopefully send them all at the same time. Sorry about the delay.
i must look out for this competition starting next season. it looks great

Arsenal 3 - 1 Southhampton
Here are the predictions as promised:
thomasc1982 says 3-1 Arsenal win
BlueDwarf says 3-1 Arsenal win
rooster says 2-1 Arsenal win
MrSpeed says 1-1 draw
all scores are predicted for 90mins
See thomasc no need to worry ;)

Well...that's it then!
The Final table to post and the last opportunity to say thanks to MarkR and Nujol for their hosting, countless others for their little snippets of advice, everyone for their input and participation - of course not to forget JohnMac for his unrivalled generosity (understatement!)
Well done to all the winners and see you in a couple of months where I suppose we'll start getting ready for 2003/04 !
<iframe src="http://www.btinternet.com/~colwickdude/league/fafinal.htm" width="100%" height="300" scrolling="auto"></iframe>
I think the remaining picking order for prizes then is as follows...
thomasc1982 pick 5 from A or B
BlueDwarf pick another 2 from A or B
rooster pick 3 from A B or C
Kronik pick another 2 from A or C
MarkR pick 2 from any pot
skelly123 pick 2 from any pot
morleyian pick 2 from any pot
jamesking420 pick 2 from any pot
there should be one left to go to the Forums Fund - would the remaining stakeholder please do as required - ta
Again, well done all.
....right, The Rugby World Cup........

that means that roosters score on the final table needs to be reduced by one point

Is this ready for closing yet?
Have all prizes been sent/received?
Only 9 weeks to go until the season starts again !!?!?!
Thanks to those who did reply to my questionnaire about the comp and if any changes were thought neccesary - still a few not sent and would appreciate the feedback
I planned on opening up the entry thread for next season on or around July 16th (a month in advance) as it seems there could be more than 25 next time !!
Anyway, any prizes need chasing?
Still not got mine from Robsheldon. Will try and get in touch with him tonight

Go to your local post office, get a recorded delivery tag and fill that in then go to the counter and weigh the package.
It should be around 150g-200g and then just hand it over to the postie assistant.
