Got this yesterday - 9.99 at Virgin [punk rock!]. Seems good. I think they're pretty much the last hope for pop punk. I dunno whether anyone else agrees but I like the bassist's songs the best. On earlier albums at least they have a real yearning quality that just slays me.

they're alright i suppose, but that private eye song is bloody horrible :gag:

Saw them at Leeds Festival last year (or maybe it was the year before) and they're weren't that bad tbh.

Might sample the new album :norty:

I've had tickets to see them 3 times, and they've cancelled every time.

It's pretty good, with Matt Skiba's unique vocals really bringing this album up.

It's fairly decent. No 'Sing the Sorrow' by AFI or anything. That's still the best Punk album of the year.

WHAT? Did i read that right? AFI is the best punk album of the year!!!

Do you know what punk is? AFI are about as punk as Rancid are pop!

The Trio album (good mourning) is a quality album. The lyrics are second to none and some of the guitar work is the best i have heard for a good year or so.

Am off to see them at leeds this year and i am looking forward to it a great deal. Went to see AFI a few weeks ago in manchester and they were *****. Didn't expect much else to be honest

AFI "Sing the sorrow" best punk album of 2003 so far ... are you
I used to have time for AFI untill they went all (6th form/pretentious goth).

I saw them live earlier in the year and they were abysmal, no merit whatsoever. Dull, derivative and lacking charisma

I stand by my comments. Sing The Sorrow is fantastic.
