Whatever floats you boat. :gag: ;)
The French Open is incredibly unpredictable (especially the women’s which has had 6 different winners in the last 6) but I might have a couple of small bets on Mauresmo and Hantuchova. I'll also follow Fernandez’s matches very closely after last year’s performance as she is capable of a few upsets.
Roddick and Kuerton might be good bets in the men’s if you can look past Ferraro. There could be some interesting matches if the clay court specialists like Costa and Correjta come up against the higher seeds like Hewitt and Coria.
Oh and Srichiphan seeded 10th? He'll be very lucky to get past the first round.
No Anna K. :(
It doesnt matter it'll only get crappy Eurosport coverage anyway. They could learn a thing or 2 from Sky & the BBC.
Got to agree with you on Chippan,Hrbaty's a useful player.
Regarding Kournikova I think it's a good move to play lesser tournaments. She's playing the DFS at Birmingham which is what Jenny did in her comeback.
A few results from the 1st Round.
Kim Clijsters bt Amy Frasier 6-2 6-0.
Jenny Capriati :luv: bt Jo Kruger 6-2 6-1.
Lindsay Davenport bt Wynee Prakusya 6-2 6-0.
Tim Henman bt Vladimir Voltchkov 6-2 6-3 6-1.
Nicolay Davydenko bt Greg Rusedski 6-3 7-5 6-2.
Lleyton Hewitt bt Brian Vahaly 6-4 6-1 6-7 6-3.

I'm on Ferrero £300 @ 3/1
and Mauresmo £100 @ 20/1. She's worth a bet at the price.
Good price on Amelie, will you lay off as the tournament progresses?.

If the opportunity arises I dare say I will. I got the price off betfair & she will have to progress a longway before it shortens on there (or one of the williams will have to get knocked out)
I'm hopeful that she will put up a good display though, I think you will still get 20/1 quite easily if you put it up on Betfair.

Come on Agassi
Andre's two sets down .Ancic is playing great tennis.I wonder how many bets this will mess up if Ancic wins?.

Close call that one but Agassi looked stronger as it went on, I couldn't bring myself to do any trading in running on Betfair though!
Fair play to Agassi but I wonder if this match will catch up with him later in the tournament? I know he's in fantastic condition but, he has played alot of tennis & is knocking on abit for tennis player, he still retains stacks of talent and it should see him through the next couple of rounds I would have thought.
Well this thread hasn't been very popular but thought it was worth a bump seeing as Henin-Hardenne has just set up an all Belgian final by beating Serena Williams
Great job Justine
I hope she wins the final :D
It's just a shame I can't watch any of it :(

Yep, well done Justine. I've done me dough on Mauresmo but covered mt stake on Ferrero against Costa, Ferrero looked awful against Gonzalez and left me worried.
What was all the booing about? How come they were booing Serena?

Was this at the end? If so it will be the way she walked off court after Justine had won the game, she barely shook her hand and it was not a good sporting gesture. If it wasn't at the end then I don't know?
I couldn't hear as I was watching whilst listening to some tunes.

She did shake her hand, but it was happening during the match too. Serena even waved to the crowd as they booed her.
The final will be on BBC2,as regards the crowds it was anti-American feelings due to the Iraq conflict plus Serena made comments about the French IIRC.

I think it also had something to do with the fact that Justine comes from the French speaking part of Belgium and she was the underdog.
Serena was in tears at the press conferance but she did say that Henin was the better player and deserved to win:thumbs:

OK cheers guys, didn't realize she was being booed during the match.
Verkerk has been excellent, I just wonder where they hell he's been?? What I mean is how has he failed to progress previously, he has a very good serve and the power in his strokes is fantastic. I'll be laying off on against my 3/1 Ferrero again in the final to cover my stake.
Ladies final - I reckon a Belgian will win ;)
Come on Henin!!!
Justine was out of the blocks quickly, let's hope Kim can get into the match.
Justine has won her first Grand Slam,

Lovely to see someone play tennis unlike butch Williams Sisters
Justine look like Martin Hingis without cuteness and more power. Let hope she can win Wimbledon as Anna Kourikova wouldn't win it.
