Don't believe it for a moment. Although Spurs are obviously a number of players away from a decent side presently, one area we don't need anyone is in goal. Not to mention the sheer absurdity of being interested in a past his best nearly 40 Gooner!

This one ain't going anywhere....let Man Citeh have him.

its silly season for the press and they know my boys spurs are easy targets................ we have Keller who is a great keeper - he may have conceded the most but that is an indicator of our defense rather than him.....................................

all this bullcrap newspaper speculation has put me off reading the sports pages, just let me know when players are signed and sealed - forget the gossip

What's going on with sullivan? I think he's better than Keller and he's been out of the team for ages. I also notice he was in the team when we were doing well at the start of the season.

No way would we want seaman though even if he wasn't an arsenal player

Well i think seaman should just take a coaching contract why sign a keeper who will be ok for 1-2 seasons tops

Manchester City have a few good prospects coming through the ranks, so another years development, while working with one of the greatest goalkeepers to grace the premiership, would suit everyone

MEN saying that City to sign new striker this week. Their money on Mr Seaman from down the Arsenal.

Mr Keegan getting exited as Seaman emerges from the Bell End(!)

See this thread ...

CitySmith was right - City fans had plenty of jokes when the Platt Lane end was re-developed, now we get a new stand in a new stadium the mind boggles. Pity it isn't really and end though. Oh, well.

I would not have thought it was possib;e 2 get an older GK than Schmiechs - at least they are planning for the future!

IIRC City have 19-year-old keeper they are looking to groom. If he's been learning from Schmeichel and now Seaman, you could argue that they are planning for the future.

Manchester City are planning for the future, Seaman was one of the best goalkeepers in the premiership last season, City are grooming a few (esp. a young Dane called Ellegaard ) young keepers, who have now had the opportunity to work with 2 of the greats.

City have just signed Michael Tarnat from Bayern as well. Any news on this guy, anyobe seen much of him in the past season or so :D

I was quite keen for him to leave, but now that it's actually happened I feel quite sad.

He's a legend and will always be one of the Arsenal greats. :notworthy

Exactly, what a legend he is....no matter what people say, one of the greatest.

Now we have 3 keepers at Arsenal now..Taylor, Shabaan and Warmuz....are we going to have one of them for 1st choice or get someone in?

Might be time for Taylor to step up, but if he doesn't perform, I wouldn't want to make either of the other two our first choice :|

what no Cygan?

not sure about Gilberto - i know he used to play CB but Arsene had chances to play him there and did not at the end of the season.

Think they will buy a CB, i think he wants an experienced (Not 40 year old) GK but will struggle to buy one now that Seaman hs left - so you may be right about Taylor - although i think it will be out of necessity rather than choice.

The reason I've suggested that formation is because when Wenger bought Lauren he played him in midfield for a season then put him in at right-back. Wouldn't surprise me if he sticks Gilberto at the back.

No Cygan as I don't think he's a long term, permanent solution - IMO he's too slow.

Sorry mate i was being sarky about Cygan (the guy is a joke!)

arsenal would then have to but a replacement for Gilberto in midfield - although i suppose van Bronk could do the job.

But if arsenal do have £10m to spend - and you have suggested that they won't spend on defence or GK - do you think they are going to buy an attacker?

Personally i don't think arsenal have enough quality in defence (especially cover wise for injuries and suspensions) aand i think they will spend a few quid on a CB.
