Just like to say well done to both sets of Italian fans, they have been superb throughout the Champions league final

I write this in Extra time, so it's still 0-0, the commentators are just saying the same as me, good God I'm agreeing with Fat Ron :help: :D

Went around Manchester City centre today to sample the Italian invasion, what a great set of supporters, both clubs had

50,000.... that's not an invasion ;)

100,000 in Seville last week with 80,000 for Celtic... now that's an invasion :D

I bet the average commuting distance of the Champions League crowd is not much different than a Man Yoo league game either.

With that amount of noise been generated by the Italians, I bet the local residents will try and ban all football matches from Trafford

At least the Springsteen concert is still going ahead, tough :gag: local Trafford residents, CL final 1 day, Springsteen concert the next, Manchester has been superb. Glad I've had the week off to sample the excellent vibe around the city centre. Wore an Italian top to get into the local atmosphere.

Can't imagine two English sets of supporters behaving themselves in a foreign city so well, but I could be wrong :p

Behaving well? I saw a group of 20 Milan fans singing You'll Never Walk Alone on Market Street earlier. :nono:

Bitter? For saying the Italian fans were superb?

Bitter against who? :help:

You may  at Manchester City, that's you been negative (bitter) against my club. All I have done is praise 2 sets of Italian fans. As anyone would do if they had seen them a few hours before the game, great sets of supporters, having a laugh with each other

You're so vain I bet you think this post is about YOU :p

PS. Well done to AC Milan :notworthy

Here's a nice link to the Manchester Evening News Website

Link to the bitter Italian fans (http://www.manchesteronline.co.uk/news/stories/Detail_LinkStory=59547.html)

Juventus fan Gianluca Panis, from Venice, said: "We all like the atmosphere here. We can all sing together without any fear, because everyone respects each other."

Giovanni Favero, an AC Milan fan who also flew in from Venice, said: "We have all been made very welcome in Manchester - the atmosphere is great."

At Old Trafford, there was a carnival atmosphere long before the game as fans sounded horns, hooters and claxons and sang their favourite anthems.

I suppose you think these are all bitter as well

You're so vain I bet you think this post is about YOU :p

PS Not 1 Prawn butty in sight :D

You're really dumb too aren't you bitter?

Did you not say 'Shocker, atmosphere at Old Trafford!!'

Well you did as it's your thread title, just proves you're obsession with UTD is as strong as all the blues:D

That's what I'm getting at, it's nothing to do with your comments on how great the italians were, it's the typical bitter blue dig hell, it comes so naturally to you that you don't even know when you are doing it:wave:

I have not mentioned UTD, I certainly have not send anything bad about them, unlike you, who's constantly had a go at me and Manchester City FC.

Putting  doesn't mean I won't respond, again who's come across as bitter, You or Me.

PS Well done AC Milan

So how would you describe the atmosphere at OT on Saturday afternoon matchdays?

Is it anywhere near as good as what the Italians produced :p

I don't think so, do you :help:

Dumb, careful you'll hurt my feelings :p

I notice that you're the only one upset by the headline!!

City, this has dragged on because you were too stupid to realise what I was getting at, I told you were being a true bitter blue and now finally you've cottoned on, like I say it comes so naturally you don't know when you do it.

Now shut up and let that be the end of it:rolleyes:

  TBH I'm surprised it took so long for this one to come out!

OK, I don't live in Manc but why does that matter so much? I'm near Leeds (doesn't mean I wasn't born in Manc though;))

Between 1987-1994 I only missed a handful of matches, I was going home & away + Europe, not to Europe for my holidays like you city, I was going to see United play:D  Back then the atmosphere at OT was great, I used to stand in the left side of the stretford end singing my head off for all games, till they knocked it down:rolleyes: . Anyway, I agree the atmosphere at OT is crap these days & indeed it was from 94 onwards.
I did my glory bit in 1999 by going to the semi final replay v Arsenal & the Euro Cup final in Barcelona, I don't give a monkeys if that was glory supporting, I wanted to be there for that.
I stopped going as I have better things to with my weekends and didn't want to grow up being a sad old edit following a football team around the country for the rest of my life.

Take a read of what our T&Cs (http://thedvdforums.com) say about swearing.

It does mean we agree but it was never what I was getting at you for. I was getting at you for feeling the need to mention it in relation to the cup final i.e. being bitter towards Man Utd:brickwall

You obviously didnt watch united beat real madrid this year then. The atmosphere at that game was much better than the final (as was the atmosphere at barca in '99)

Fair enough I didn't go to the game in Barca, but I'm not gonna pay to watch Traffords finest :p

Did you go along to the derby at Maine Road, that was mad

But fair play to 'em Italians they can really work up a crowd, for those big occasions
