Just wondered how many people who contribute to the sport forum actually play a sport on a regular basis and if so what?

It seems most of the threads here are about watching sport and not playing? I do enjoy watching sport on the box but if given a choice would always prefer to play.

For my sins I play Badminton and Squash every week and play in local leagues and county leagues to varying degrees of success.

Also play Tennis, Table Tennis and Football pretty regularly, trying to get more into Tennis at the moment.

5-a-side football every Tuesday night for years. More enthusiasm than ability though!

Used to play badminton but those sudden reaches and stretches mixed with no warming up would give me constant muscles strains.

I'm a member of a bowling league - that's fairly strenuous...

But I'm also a keen runner and while that's not so much of a competition sport (at my level), it's bloody hard work!

Untill recently I played Snooker in a local league and Darts to Superleague level. I have been known to play tennis and kick a ball in the past, but the only sport I do regularly now is target shooting.

I used to captain the local football team, I have played for my county at bowls and I have also played wheelchair basketball in the USA, Canada and Japan.

All I play at the moment though is pool in my local but I am thinking about starting to play wheelchair tennis - all I need is a good kick up the rectum to get me going !!;)

Play football for two different teams - one plays satuday (and trains Tues & thurs), and also play for a SundayLeague side (training on a Wednesday). I'm also a member of the league squad (in my Sat. league), so every few months there are extra games for the league team.
Used to also play Badminton every Monday, but an ankle injury put paid to that for a few months and I haven't got back into it since.
In addition to that I have resumed my golfing career ( ) playing every Friday.

Frequent games of snooker (and Tennis in the summer) and use of my Treadmill ensures I say relatively fit too

Well, yeah, but the league side only plays every couple of months, nothing regular. Plus, there is no football now (except Sundays, where were still playing), so I have nothing on midweek so I can play other sports.
Needless to say when the football season resumes I'll relax my interest in other sports...currently on a golf frenzy though - cant get enough of it! :D

Jesus, golf or kids! That's a tough one! It would have to be golf.
I play (9 h'cap), left it for 5 years but am starting to play twice a week and get the bug again.

..and 5-a-side in a power league every monday night - more like fighting with the odd bit of footy.

I am also a pool demon, pubs with tables rock!

My tennis would let me down :oh-hum:

I've got a nice fast serve but I can't keep the ball in the court half the time when I play fast ground strokes

Footy 2-3 times a week down by Brighton beach, of a lunchtime... Got the stamina for it (could do two hours rather than the one easy)... but unfortunately have zero skill. :D
