I know it'll be the worst film ever made.
(and Burt Reynolds is in it.)
I'm struggling to hide my excitement!
Though is Burt seriously in this film?

Daniella Westbrook is in it playing the Babs Windsor role and Tony (gissajob) Hadley also has a small part. He’s in the film as well.
Budget apparently is a whopping £4M!

Yup, Burt must really really really need a new wig.

Only a bit?
Don't they ever learn with these things? The worst cast, script etc, and still they manage later on to surpas even the lowest of the low film wise!

Frankly, I'm amazed they're even bothering. All the Carry On films were directed by one man - Gerald Thomas. Gerald's input was largely ignored on Carry On Columbus and a studio director brought in; the results are clear. More than anyone, he understood what makes a Carry On film and with Gerald dead any film that appears under the "Carry On" banner will be an imitation as far as I'm concerned.
I've been interviewed on the topic a few times in the last couple of weeks (I run the official Carry On site) and I'm finding it very hard to offer anything other than vitriol on the subject.

This is gonna be the worst film ever I would imagine. I can't understand why David Jason is doing this with such great acting talents as Barry from Eastenders, Danniella Westbrook and Dale Winton! :gag:

It is entirely possible that the script is good..... though it sounds like the makers are committing the same mistakes as those behind Columbus by bringing in comedians to play roles - none of the original lot were actually comedians, they just had comic timing. That's what makes it work. I know I'll be the first in line to see it, even if it's a steaming pile of dung.

Not that I'm interested :| in this so called Carry On, (as far as I'm concerned the Carry On's finished after "Behind") but any of the "Original" Cast involved, yes I know most have sadly past on :( , but some, are still with us, Barbara, Jim, Leslie, June, Jack, e.t.c or have they done the decent thing, and turned them down Flat.
I'd hate to have good memories of Barbara Windsor in Camping/Aboard :norty: ruined, by thought of Her trying to re-create similar stuff more than 30 odd yrs later :oh-hum:

She probably reasons (rightly) that appearing in the godawful Eastenders is shame enough for one lifetime.

I think she only took up EastBenders, because she was in huge Debt at the Time :dork: otherwise.....

Off-topic but hasn't she left it now?
Didn't her character go on some trip to see 'Gwaarnt' and 'Cortnee'
Isn't 'Gwaarnt' coming back this year? :suspect:

She's always off on some trip.
She'll be back though and the classic "wher'veyoubin" will ring out through the Queen Vic :D
And Dirty Den is set to return I gather?

Babs Windsor is very ill at the moment. She has a form of M.E., which is a dehabilitating illness that effects the immune system and can take several years to recover from.

This WILL be the worst film ever!
Who the hell would stump up the money to make this crap?
If they're going to try re-create a Carry On movie they could at least make it interesting and employ proper actors to play the carry on characters (they did a sid james/barbara windsor tv movie a few years ago - those actors would do) in a newly written movie!!
Happy Many Returns to the Carry on Films which are 50 soon...!¬
Would you all like to see a new one?
There is a rumour that a remake of Carry on Cabbie will soon be coing called Carry on London.
Not so good of us for all of us who don't live in London (which is a bit overrun with (ahem) ).
Good news howver...!

Carry On London already discussed here: http://www.thedvdforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=209476 and judging by the general reaction there, no people aren't looking forward to it!
Some things should be left well alone.

I think we all remember the last one they did.
Sweet baby jesus that was bad.
Carry on Columbus wasn't that bad, but it was no Muppet Treasure Island.

Yep. Carry Ons were just going out of fashion when I was a child, and people like Sid James were dying off. The Donald McGill postcard humour is a thing of history. I can see no place for a new Carry On film -- no place at all.
