I bought all four releases of the Tartan Truffaut collection instead of the French mk2 versions since they contained all the extras plus English subtitles (my French is not too good).

Now I am very disappointed that no additional titles came out in a long time. What happened? Will there be any future releases?

i've put off buying the tartan or mk2 releases in the hope that we'll see some more criterion versions

That's a shame. I too bought all 4 Tartans, in the last Play.com World Cinema promo, and was looking forward to the other "trailed" titles.

MGM released 5 Truffaut titles on 4/8/03, according to Play.com's "Coming Soon" list, at £11.99 (from RRP £15.99).

But give it 6-9 months, and they'll be even cheaper in the next promo!

Tartan are very unpredictable. Every time I give up on their Bergman Collection increasing they announce two more titles after a gap of six or seven months. "Scenes From A Marriage" and "To Joy" are out in September. Maybe the Truffaut Collection is going to increase in a similar fashion.

All 5 of the MGM August Truffaut releases are now in Play's 3 for £20 offer:

The Man Who Loved Women
Small Change (aka L'Argent De Poche/Pocket Money)
The Story Of Adele H.
The Wild Child (aka L'Enfant Sauvage)
Mississippi Mermaid
