My 535 seems to have a problem with very dark scenes. Thier seems to be a sort of shimmering when a scene gets really dark but not in all disks. One I noticed it particularly bad in was Predator. What could be wrong. I am using decent interconnects and I have it set to RGB so anybody any ideas?

I have a 535 but do not use RGB (I use svideo). Have not noticed the problem you are getting so maybe this is a compatability problem with your TV ? Try another RGB DVD Player (a freinds perhaps).

Gram99 Here is something from me pasted from another forum.
Does it describe your problem?

Faint perfectly horizontal shaded bands that extend the full width
of the screen and cover all the screen i.e. are not confined to the top, bottom or middle.

They can drift up or down with varying speed. When they change direction and their speed drops to 0 they are virtually impossible to see. This is also true when their speed becomes high.
They are about 2cm wide with 2 cm gap and do not have sharp edges.

The bands are just a region of the picture that is slightly brighter or lighter - this isthe only thing that makes them visible.

They are only visible in dark areas of a scene.

Visualise them as ripples and your there!

Its really just like a shimmering in dark scenes. Thats really all I can say to describe it.

Just call me psychic.

go to www.dejanews.com
Use advanced group search and search for ...
panasonic DVCO
and just have a browse of the problems that us pannie owners
can suffer with RGB. People talk about problems with a certain chassis that affects a range of models. You just might get some clues here!
