Simple question with regard to my centre speaker, above or below the TV. Would it make any difference??? :)

The ideal is to have all the tweeters at ear-height when seated in your normal position.
Not very practical though!

As to whether it's best above or below, it may depend on the height of your TV set as well - IMO, many are too low. Again, ideally, the centre of the screen should be at eye level when seated in your normal position.
Assuming your TV is in the "ideal" position, then it should really make little difference whether you put it above or below, as long as if you put it below, it's directly below. If your TV is a bit on the low side anyway, it's probably best to put the centre above the TV.
My TV is positioned correctly height-wise, and I put the centre immediately below it - the main reason being the wife simply wouldn't wear it the other way. I angle the centre speaker slightly upwards into the room, using a pair of "hifi" feet from an old broken cassette deck.
It works well enough.

The proof of the pudding, as always, is to try both ways, and see which you like the best.

Mine's below the TV angled slightly upwards for much the same reasons as MikeK - TV's reasonably high (DIY AV rack), speaker is 17kg so rather dangerous on top and the missus wouldn't allow it anyway. :p

Thanks for the feedback guys, but after much head scratching I decided to keep the speaker on top of the TV as the bench units were only about 40cms high. :)
