Its not bad (not good by any means, but not bad) I think its supposed to be one these films that doesnt take itself too seriously (at least i hope it is!) not bad action, ****** story (but its about vampires/hunters you cant really expect oscar winning stuff!)
I'm quite sure you'll get a better review of it by someone on here, but theres my opinion of it, try to rent it first.

Dont bother with the R1 (R2+R4 will be the same i'm guessing) as its cut - 15mins? have been cut and the ending has been changed quite a bit.

You can find a review of the Region 2 disc here (http://www.dvddebate.com/article.php?sid=3405).
The UK version was not cut by the BBFC, so must have been submitted by TriStar already cut. It looks to be the same length (after PAL-NTSC) as the US release.

There's an uncut Singaporean DVD/VCD release - IIRC it was more like 20/30 mins that's been cut.
The VCD is pretty ***** though - changing aspect ratio from LB to FS and back again, plus an awful green tinge that makes it hard to see what's going on. Not seen the DVD though.

just had a rent of the R2, it was a bit disjointed in some places but i guess that could be due to the cuts hinted at by WSW a couple of posts ago,
by no means a film to splash cash on but it was an enjoyable no-brainer in various scenes,
his holiness Lam Suet was rocking the skinhead well and look like a young Jet Li :D
what action/fights/swordplay there was was quite impressive and left me feeling that this film could have been so much more,
its a bit of a cheek to promote it as Tsui Harks Vampire Hunters when he wasnt the one who directed it
Moving to World Cinema & DVD Forum
not great, but still fun to watch...

Just a quick heads up. Vampire Hunters is on ITV4 tonight (22/1) at 11.40pm. Not sure of presentation though (sub/dub).

It is the third time it has been on ITV4. It has subtitles.
Saw some of this last night; seemed cool to me, action packed and sufficiently gory - its like a bloodier Zu Warriors but with less plot [!]
