Anyone seen this? If so I have 3 questions, the 2nd being by far the most important. :)

1. Is it any good?

2. Is Rachel Weisz hot in it?

3. Where can I get it cheaply (anyone have it for sale)?

Someone must have seen this, surely. :suspect:

1. Average to good; Barry score is nice.
2. She's hot in anything.
3. www.*********************?

Thanks for the reply. Best price I can find is £8, was hoping to do a little better. :)

1) It's good, but like a lot of British period pieces, can seem a little slow. Get it for the flawless acting and the beautiful (though rainy!) landscapes. The best performance from Zoe Wanamaker that I have seen; I'm also a Joss Acland, Ian McKellen and Vincent Perez fan. You can't really go wrong with a cast like that.

2) You needed to ask? Those eyes...

3) I rented it, sorry. It's a poor-to-middling DVD transfer, unfortunately - the colours are very muted throughout (more muted than they should be, judging by covershots).

I'm thinking of getting this but as it came out on dvd a decade ago now (in R1) and nearly as long ago in R2 am I going to find that it looks rubbish transfer wise (baring in mind what cm-9 wrote above, over 4 years ago)?
