Hi Guys-
Im after buying a DVD Multi Player to play USA discs but Im told it will only play b+w on my old Tele.
The telly is old but its still good. My question to guys is--
Can I buy a multi player that will show all in colour even on an old telly.
thanks for any advice---mick.

Get one with PAL60 output for NTSC discs (Pioneer, Philips, panasonic, etc), or if your TVs scart is RGB capabile, get one with RGB out via scart:)

Thanks for the reply Justin.

I will investigate the local area/shops and their systems.

You have been more helpful than the salespersons in the shops that I have visited. All they wanted me to do, was buy a new telly.

To be definately sure of the player being compatible with your TV, you want one that outputs PAL50 from NTSC discs (most will display PAL60 , but PAL50 is the UK standard).
Players that can output PAL50 include:
All LG players
Cyberhome players
Optim player
Samsung 709

Those are all hackable for multiregion playback too ;) and cheap.
