Just 2 quick questions...

1) I have a...

Sky Digital Box
Video Recorder
DVD Player
Sony PS2

and my TV has 2 scart sockets. What's the best way for me to link this little lot together?

2) What's your setup like?

Cheers,
Steve.

Sounds like you've got pretty much the same set up as me, at the moment i've got Sky running from a scart to the TV and a Scart box connected to the other slot into which I've put my PS2 and DVD player.

The only draw back with this is that you have to turn the power off on the PS2 completely instead of leaving it on standby otherwise I get no sound from the DVD player.

Thinking of getting another scart lead for my video at some point next week and hooking that up to the spare slot on the digibox.

How many scarts on your DVD player and Sky box? You could consider experimenting with RGB pass through to make use of your scarts more economical. I have a Sony dvd player that supports RGB pass through, a Pioneer ITV digital box with 2 scarts and a VCR with a single scart (composite only). My TV has 2 scarts, one RGB, one SVideo. I have my DVD player set to RGB into scart 1 of the TV. I have the output of my ITV box set to RGB into scart 2 of the DVD (which supports pass through). I have the output of my VCR into scart 2 of the ITV box. This leaves my 2nd scart on the TV completely free for SVideo /composite inputs that could be used for games consoles, etc. My setup does have issues of limited flexibilty (recording from certain sources while watching etc) but works pretty well for me as both my primary viewing sources are available in RGB without need for a switch box.
