I have (apparently) a manual multiregion Pioneer 737 that I got on-line at link.electronics. I love it and am very happy with the performance but have just been 'encoded'

The disc in question was A Knight's Tale and whilst it is well known to be RCE I have not had problems with Dogma SE. Nevertheless, i saw the Map of Doom for the first time ever and whilst it was a good looking map it spoilt my otherwise great (nice one Mr Posh Spice :D and the Goose Fair in Nottingham) day :( .

What I want to know is how do I manually change regions as i cannot see an obvious way? Maybe I am automatically multiregion which would really annoy me as I specifically picked Link.electrionics as they advertised it as a manual upgrade. Until now I just put the discs in and let it go.

Any advice woudl be greatly appreciated especially if you can correct the problem before I sell it on the Classifieds!!

Try This

Remove any disc in tray
Press setup menu button on remote - main menu will now be displayed
Move over to general
Press enter to display intial menu-note that the right side of the picture will be empty, ieOSD SET
Select Basic
Press Display-The region No and software version is displayed
Press the condition button
Press the region no required
Press menu to store-you will then exit the menu system
Play the disc as you normally would.

Cheers dinsey - I'm at work currently but will give it a go when i get home. Do you have a 737 then?

No I've got a 636D, just that the menus are the same. If what I have suggested does not work, come back and well try something else.

...... BINGO :D :D :D :D

You star - Nice one m8

It worked like a dream. On my remote it has the option of 'condition' but there is alos another which is ?? 'last region / disc' - how do they both work?? I actually put a R1 in and then did what you said so maybe that was the key. Anyway , me and the missus were well chuffed (until we saw the film that was!!!!)
