Received a Novatech e-mail about an 'all-in-one' decoder+speaker system going for £99 (HT-510). Sounds like a bargin.

Has anyone got one of these? I'm no expert, but the surround speakers seem underpowered at 15W per channel.

Wot do you guys think? Will it be sufficient for the occasional dabbler like myself?

Cheers

Welcome to the forums :)

From the looks of the specs it does not incorporate DD/DTS decoding and is basically just 6 amplified speakers. If you have a DVD player with onboard DD/DTS decoding and 6 phono outs then it may be worth a look, but you'd probably be better going for something better known like a cheap/second hand Digitheatre or even a budget seperates system.
