Well OK, not *all* of them... but it's obviously this season's colour, and it's very annoying when the component you want isn't available in black (to match the rest of my system).
Looking on Link's website for VCR that records NTSC, out of around 6 models, only one comes in black, and that's a Sony with loads of editing features that I don't really need... £580, and it's not even SVHS! (The picture had better be *good* for this kind of money)
A quick flick through the Argos catalogue reveals no VCRs in black finish at all :(
I know these things go in cycles... the early 80's was the last time silver hi-fi was fashionable, and around 4 years ago *everything* was in black. But can't manufacturers offer a standard black/silver choice for all components? (as they already do with many DVD players)
