As I value everyone`s opinion (and espically everyone on this forum !) I was wondering if you could assist me....

I`ve got the Videologic Digitheatre 5.1, and am happy with it in my flat. But three little letters keep staring at me and making me feel bad;

D-T-S !!! :(

I don't like be unable to play features on my discs and the DD/DTS arguement can go on forever, but it`s still something I can`t use! :mad:

So, I think I should upgrade and was considering the Yamaha VS-10 (can`t afford much, but I can sell the DT).

Say Yay or Nay people !!! (or reccomend me to do something else !)

Get it! I've got it - it rocks! Particularly in Silver!

Got mine from Leconcepts (http://www.leconcepts.com) - but remember it only has optical digital inputs so if your DVD only has coax you'll need a convertor.

It's a lot better looking than the digitheatre DTS and you should get one right now!

I'll be honest with you mate i'd say if you aren't desperate for DTS, which I assume you are, then don't bother and save up for seperates. If you can't wait then get the VS-10. Had mine, also from leconcepts down the road, about 4 months and very impressed with it. Do a search for many other peoples opinion.

You might want to check out the Sony HTK215 which seems to split people between that and the Yamaha.

i bought the vs-10 about 2 months ago in silver and imo it does a good job. i did a lot of research / asking mates etc between the sont htk215 and the vs10, and the vs10 always seem to come top. Cheapest i found was also at leconcepts.

Below is a hardware review on the vs10, and it gets a decent review.

ps.. the arguement between that and seperates is similar to the one between buying a merc slk or a porsche, sure the porsche is faster but it does not make the merc *****. the merc is still good!

ooopps... sorry! starting to ramble now!

Spend an extra £100 and get the Yamaha RXV420RDS receiver and Yamaha NSP220 Active sub / speaker pack (about £400). much better then the limited VS10, and better sound:)
