So, I've taken delivery of my new Sony 36FS70. Very nice except for the greenish tint in the top right of the screen. This is only noticeable when the corner of the display is bright white.
In another thread, someone mentioned that this is a manufacturing fault. Does anyone know if it can be corrected by an engineer or will it have to be returned?
Fortunately I bought this through a high-street retailer so at least I can go and shout at them if I'm not satisfied... ;)
Cheers

I've been lucky and have no problems with my tv, except for the picture curving slightly at the top left and right. You can only notice it if there is text in the corners and that doesn't happen that much.
Where did you get your tv from and how much did you pay?
I noticed over the weekend in Currys that the tv has come down by £300.00 since I purchased mine.
I forgot to say. One hell of weight isn't it:eek: :D

Oh well, I've got an engineer coming on Saturday. We'll see what happens. I'm resolute that the set isn't leaving the house unless another is delivered as it was delivered with the fault.

Oh well, the engineer has been and gone. He's arranging an exchange for a new set...
In the meantime (and unfortunately, since the engineer left) I've noticed that the picture seems to be 'breathing'. The left and right sides of the image seem to be getting alternately brighter and darker...occurs in both 50 and 100hz modes. It is very noticable on dark grey and brown images...
Hopefully the new set will cure these problems...
