then my with my dvd built in dts decoder
i will get dts sound?

There's not really any point in buying a Pro-Logic amp. Just buy a DD/DTS one - which can be picked up pretty cheap now, and let that do the work.

Built in decoders are really only any use to people who already have a PL amp.

Are you sure your player actually decodes DTS and doesn't just output a DTS bitstream? DD decoders are fairly common in players but not DTS.

Yes, but you'd have to run the analogue output of your DVD player through the amp (assuming it has analogue inputs).

If your amp doesn't decode DTS, you won't be able to get it from the digital output of your player.
