Any other titles available (subbed naturally) aside from Un Flic, Le Cercle Rouge, Bob le Flambeur and Le Samourai? Any region.
Failing that is there news of future releases?

Those are all that I heve seen, but there should be at least 'Le Doulos' coming out in UK during 2004. Some other has been published in France, but all without english subtitles.
DVDZone2 list Le Deuxieme Souffle. No subtitles, though.

So many films, so little time...
Thanks, John Hodson, that is good news.
Incidentally, if anyone is having trouble finding Le Samourai (French R2, with English subtitles) - I think it may be OOP now - Cinestore.fr has it in stock but its costly - about £20 delivered. No Customs charges though as it would be coming from France.

great news - trouble is, are we likely to get criterion releases of Le Doulos and Leon Morin in the near future, discs of the same calibre as Le Cercle Rouge would be worth waiting for.

I've got a sneaky feeling they will all turn up as Criterions, including the Preminger. Fox say they've licensed (I think the figure mentioned was) 16 films to Criterion recently and I'm betting Fallen Angel is one of them.

Le Samourai now showing out of stock at cinestore.fr (perhaps a good thing seeing the problems some people have been having with this etailer), but it looks to be available very soon here (http://www.xploitedcinema.com/dvds/dvds.asp?title=899).

oh, sorry - I bought it from cinestore.fr a couple of weeks ago but didn't check availability before I posted.
It's also worth checking the 'Marketplace' section of Amazon.fr as you can pick up second hand DVDs there - and most French vendors don't have a problem posting to the UK.

Alas, it was only 12, but Fox did say they were happily willing to license more. Fox will probably keep Fallen Angel (and the other Otto Preminger noirs) for their own Film Noir line later in the year - if anything you can bet the discs will be one hell of a lot cheaper (the BFI is asking £19.99 for the barebones editions).
A remake of "Le Deuxième souffle" is in the works according to IMDb.

One can at least hope that someone will see this as an oppurtunity to release Melville's film on DVD at the same time.
At least "L'Armée des ombres" (Army of Shadows) seems to be on th way from BFI and/or Criterion.
Army In The Shadows (L'Armée Des Ombres) is out on DVD in Norway. Its anamorphic and with removable English subs.

Thanks for the link. At 100NOK (~ £9) I guess it's a good deal.
Any idea when this one will hit our shores ?
Will we have this pan-European version ?

Seems to be out all over Europe now, in Sweden anyway. What I don't understand is why a French film gets an English title in Sweden (and Norway).
Review of the Spanish DVD (http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=22222).
L' Armee Des Ombres (The Shadow Army)(BFI) is now listed for release from Play (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump2.php?url=http://playcom.at/thedvdforums?DURL=http://www.play.com/DVD/DVD/4-/1720598/L_Armee_Des_Ombres/Product.html)
