View Full Version : What widescreen TV do people who have an AV receiver go for ?

Thanks to everyone who has so far helped me get up to speed in this technical area! I just bought my first DVD player (Tosh SD210) and am now thinking about the next upgrade.

I need to buy a widescreen TV, but rather than buy one with all the bells and whistles, I'm thinking about getting an AV receiver to handle the sound. For those who decide to go this route, what kind of TV do you buy ? Simple Nicam stereo with the best flat tube you can find ?

Sony. The old 50hz Wega is going cheaply at the moment (xxFX20 I think). I am not sure about a 100hz set.
