Bergman Boxset to be fixed !

MGM Home Entertainment will not be releasing the Ingmar Bergman DVDCollection on Tuesday, February 10 due to transfer problems on two of the discs

As they didn't specify which two - wouldn't it be something is they 1.37'ed The Serpent's Egg and The Passion of Anna now... <chuckle>

Excellent news; and if this down to heavy lobbying by the memebers of HTF and the DVD Forums, then well done all. I had crossed this off my wish list, I'll tentatively put it back on.

Having got the boxset, I can confirm that it's a thing of wonder spoiled only by the aspect ratio error. With this fixed, it'll be one of the releases of the year. Kudos to MGM for responding to their public so quickly - although it was a daft mistake to make in the first place.

Is there a contact address to get the faulty discs replaced or is it a case of sending the whole set back to the suppliers and reordering when it's reissued?

I was gonna completely avoid this thanks to their retarded mistake but it's good news now that it looks as if it'll be safe. I'll wait for reviews first though.
