Some tough games indeed - jumped all over Argentina in the very first game before a 2nd half disconnect derailed that game. The replay saw a few tactical changes from the off from Argentina and it was a hard fought draw with the 1-0 rollover giving me a narrow lead into the second leg. Managed to get myself 2-0 with two quick goals after the break but some slack defending towards the end made it a bit hairy but the Turks hung on :D
First time into the Semi Finals :D

To do it 3 times in 1 game just to save yourself from a heavier defeat is pathetic. Furthermore to continue to persistently slide in the 2nd leg and have another 2 players sent off only reinforces the events of the first game. Having played 4 other competitive matches v Baps and them all being great games and very enjoyable, I have to say that these games are a good reason not to play PES. Lost a bit of respect for mr Baps this evening :|

Whatever Br00n - I've probably had over 80 red cards :nuts: in my Forums career and publicly 'moaned & bitched' about every single one of them in my match reports so don't think you're gettign any sort of special treatment here...

FFS - nothing sucks the fun out of a game as much as when people take things too seriously.
Of all the players, the one who takes it least seriously is Baps, he has a laugh and a joke, and everyone (well almost everyone) knows his "match reports" are friendly banter.
I don't see why Baps should have to get abuse for it, and end up jacking it in - when I'd have thought it painfully obvious that he didn't really think his players were sent off for nothing.

The game is taken too seriously everywhere - was playing on the launcher the other night, when my opponent scored in the 76th minute, then decided to play that gay keep-ball thing in his own half to protect his lead :nuts:
It was only a matter of time before such seriousness hit our leagues I guess, which is a shame as the early leagues were nothing like that.

Um.. if you don't try to win the game there's no point in even picking up a pad. 2 smashin games, 1st game daz defended amazin and created a couple of good chances himself. 2nd game hammered his defence but he stood up and won everything at the back whilst again getting in some efforts. I eventually took the lead with a tidy chip only for daz to go up the park and score a cracker himself, then was an end to end job for the last 30 until i headed home at the last.

TEQUILA SNEAKS THROUGH 4-3 ON AGGREGATE
Utterly humiliated in the first leg with a display of tragic preportions. Second leg saw me 2-0 at HT with a real chance of at least forcing Pens. Bart Goor then sneaked Tequila a goal to make it 2-1 and it looked dead then with 30 mins left. Emre though headed a 3rd for Turkey to make it 3-1 with 18 mins left. Nihat had an agonising chance in the 86th minute but he couldn't get it over the keeper and it meant the end of the dream for Turkey :(
Getting closer and closer to winning a competition though :D

can you give me some tips on that then, i think ive scored about 2 penalties in about 15 attempts, always hit the post over goes over :mad:

I do hope that whatever happens to the WC, that the season starts this weekend. There are only a couple of matches left in the wc, so if it was to drag on (unlikely I know) it'd be criminal to postpone the league start date when it only applied to a couple of people.
seriously though, any tips
1. Don't be afraid to pass it in
2. Don't be afraid to keep placing it in the same location 2-3 times in a row. Everyone always keep trying to dive about with their GK.
3. Use your GK during shootouts - tends to have a pretty solid shot. Enables you to smash it into the net
4. Don't press the shoot button too hard otherwise it'll end up in row Z :D
EDIT: I say we just start the league fairly pronto - a couple of WC ties shouldn't keep the 99% of players not involved from being able to resume hostilities :D

The first game was awesome. 4-1 up, then a fight back from Broon to make it 4-3 then I managed to get a couple of goals with one being a dodgy pen.
A 2 goal lead to start the second leg was cut short to one and I thought that it was going to be one of those days.
However Henry stole the show with a goal out of nothing to smash it in from well outside the box. Just had to keep my cool from then on and just had to take my chances when they presented themselves.
Played Broon. :thumbs:
A good fight with Ukraine.
Wish I had Henry at my disposal :(

Aye, that ******* henry, never a defender near him - never misses the target. 1st game was awesome, gave up in the 2nd when SS went 2-1 up. Stick an already brilliant player with a country like Henry (i mean France) and you would do very very well to beat him with anything other than a top 5 team. gl in the final boys :thumbs:

Oh yeah, forgot daz uses the ghey Analog stick during the game - the definately gives you a reduced chance at pens :lol:

Tried looking for penalty kicks in the training section, couldn't see it.
So just go into a game as normal, you can set them to PK's only

Two tough games.
A slow start in the first going 1-0 down then I woke up and managed to get 3.
In the second game I got my tactics right I thought, playing a 5-4-1 formation to cancel his "winger" attacks via the M'penza boys.....
By the way Henry was on grey in the first match and blue in the second game. :p
He only scored one I think....
Well played Tequila, it could have gone either way in the last 20mins or so...
I'm abit dissapointed though as I felt I shouldn't of let in 3 goals, 2 in the first and 1 in the second. One when I wanted to pass to a player further down the pitch but what does my player do, plays it back to a defender which SS intercepts and scores. :razz:
