Hi Steve,

Just after a quick opinion from you really. I've used the titanium DVD-R 8x discs for some time now (DV 3202), burnt 100's off them with 100% success rate.

Until now...the last 2 tubs I received from you are reported under the Nero tool as having the different TTG02 dye, and I'm getting quite a few failures from them, either Power Calibration error (doesn't even start writing) or validation errors after write with Nero verify option. Junked 4 discs in a row last night, yet to try any more (first 10 or so from the tub seemed ok though).

Wondering therefore if the TTG02 dye is the issue here, or have I just been unlucky and got a faulty batch? Writer is NEC (can't recall the model number but max burn is 8x, although I usually only burn at 4x).

Have you received any other reports of problems at all with this disc/dye?

Thanks Steve, been doing a bit of research myself in the meantime and come to the same conclusion. Rather than bother your team further at this stage I'll upgrade my writer to the latest firmware and see how things progress from there. If I'm still getting problems after that I'll let you know!

Hi Steve,

I've dropped your team an email as these new discs are continuing to fail on me despite upgrading to the latest firmware.

Many thanks
Richard

Not sure about the dyes but my last couple of tubs of Titaniums had 3-4 per tub that stuck together and they failed to burn.

Steve - just wanted to say many thanks indeed to you and your team for sorting this out so quickly for me, particularly at this busy time , excellent customer service as usual (replacement discs arrived this morning)
