Sumvision SV-1000 Unable to find Region Free Code in Knowledgebase

Hi,

Just bought the above DVD recorder as states this can be made region free and this is in the knowledgebase on your site. However no matter what I search on I cannot find this and I need to be this to be region free.

Can you provide the code to do this?? As it is advertised as such on your site.

Other than that a quick and efficient service.

Sorry, we should have said it's in the "troubleshooter" not the "Knowledgebase".

Anyway - here's the info you need:

I want to make my Sumvision SV-1001/1000 multi-region
1. Open the tray
2. Press number keys 008600 and region code (0,1,2,3,4,5,6) followed by SELECT.

Enjoy your new region free player.

Has this actually worked for anyone?

I purchased an SV-1000 last week, but following the above directions doesn't access any menus it simply attempts to change channels as I press the number keys.

Hi Andy,

If the code does not work for you please test the player with a region 1 dvd. Some of the SV-1000 are region free from new and the code will not work.
