View Full Version : Blu-Ray discs advertised on DVD-Soon
I know they're a bit of a no-no around here (I lost out with them, too) but in their latest email they make mention of Blu-Ray DVDs...
*Blu-Ray DVD*
Saw (Blu-ray Disc) - $25.98 CAD
Crash (Blu-ray Disc) - $35.98 CAD
Lord of War (Blu-ray Disc) - $35.98 CAD
Resident Evil: Apocalypse (Blu-ray Disc) - $25.98 CAD
The Fifth Element (Blu-ray Disc) - $25.98 CAD
Prices look more than reasonable IMHO - CAD26 = about £13
And by the time they ship them to you we'll all be arguing whether holographic crystals or brain implants will be the dominant format.

Lots of places have both Blu Ray and HD-DVD up for sale. DVD Pacific, Amazon, Deep Discount DVD, DVDBoxOffice and HiDefDVD (formerly DV-Depot) to name a few. Although none of them as cheap as DVDSoon (although there's not much in it) all a lot more reliable.
My first HD-DVD's have already been shipped from BoxOffice
i'm surprised at the price, tbh. same as dvd - i thought there'd be a premium to pay. shows how much attention i'm paying to HD at the moment :)

The Blu Ray day and date releases with DVD (Underworld Evolution and Ultraviolet) carry a premium of about $8. The back catalog titles are about the same as newly released DVD's.
Oh theres a premium to pay if you order from DVDSoon.
Great prices, from a great etailer

Didn't DVDSoon go under? I had a DS I bought from there I never got and couldn't get in touch either. :(

They are still operating, there is a whole thread in the Supplier Forum about them. See you in a few hours ;)
