Just seen on BBC3 - An incredible episode, loved having that slimy git back but bye bye Ruth
She went out with a bang though, I would have hated it if she had left on a bus to go and do some shopping or something.
I see Spooks has managed to ressurect the Jubilee Line through Charing Cross again
Come on, admit it - any dry eyes in the house at the end? Nope, not here either :(

Do Kudos not pay them enough or something? The shedding of cast members is becoming predictably unpredictable. You can see why Adam recruits just about anyone with a pulse - It’s the only way to keep up with the disappearing staff!
Tim McInnery is a big slice of ham IMO. Whereas Laurie as Jules Scimitar perfectly balanced sarcastic humour and utter ruthlessness I keep expecting the increasingly rotund Timbo to show up wearing a ruff shirt and give us a few lines from Blackadder. Not convincing as the show’s "heavy"....unless we‘re talking kilogrammes.
It passed the time I suppose but was nowhere near as involving as last week’s. Less running around the same heavily filtered London streets and bit more emphasis on the mind games and action in future please.
Still, good to see that Adam not only manages to heal physically in record time but that next week he’s managed to put his poor dead wife to the back of his mind as he porks the nanny.

I thought it was a good episode, much better than last wek. I thought it was on the cards for either Harry or Ruth to leave when they sort of got it together though.
Should stuff about next weeks episode not be in spoilers for the people who didn't watch the trailers?

Was one of those eps you knew in the end she was going to go but kept hoping to the end they would find a way to keep her in, Ruth has always been a good character and its a shame to see her go. I though Adams healing and the way they handled the first ep of this season was strange full stop, I thought they were going to make a lot more of them being shot but it seemed to be put in the background and nigh on ignored, very odd.

My tivo cut off just before the credits started (set tivo to record +2 mins from now on), but Adam and the nanny isn't really unexpected is it.

It was rather obvious that either Ruth or Harry were for the exit as soon as they started falling over each other! Standard Spooks procedure really.
I gather Nicola Walker has in fact left as she is having a baby according to what I heard - does explain how some shots in some episodes so far had some carefully positioned desks and shots of her back!
Looks like the door might be open to come back perhaps if they bump into her on an overseas job or something? Having said that, no one who has left the series has ever been seen again :suspect:

I knew they would end up with Ruth going too. Every character I seem to like ends up leaving the show. Damn. I really liked the episode though, shame they didn't make it a two part special though, we could have had Ruth giving them a right run for their money.
I heard she was leaving to have a baby too. I really hope that maybe one day she will return, she was such a liked character and I think some questions are still unanswered regarding her, such as her involvement with GCHQ.
I still cannot believe the amount of cover up's that go on between the different departments of the service. I really sat their last night wondering if they actually do get up to that much and do cover up plots etc.
Now I find myself thinking like a spook. haha.
Hey did anyone else notice a mystery guy on the intro of last nights credits? Or am I just seeing things again.
last night's bbc1 episode had me begging for more so i had to stay up and watch the bbc3. i cried
loved ruth and her sexual tension with harry... gutted she's gone. both the episodes last night were superb tv though

Hey I'm a girl here too. lol.

The idea was that Joint Intelligence falsely inserted the name of a bogue MI5 agent so that if MI5 discovered the plot they couldn't uncover it because they too would be implicated, Ruth called their bluff and posed as 'Agent Fox' so they could uncover the plot.
Joint Intelligence also figured that if Ruth went to uncover the plot anyway and posed as the rogue agent then Harry would be forced to join the Joint Intelligence circle to protect, in that respect he also called their bluff by doing nothing.
Of course there could really be an 'Agent Fox' as well.

I think there could be an agent Fox and a surprising one at that.

I set my TIVO to record 1min early and 2min later as the program either starts early or overruns.
Are they (the program makers) setting Adam up to leave too. All the flashbacks, not sleeping, etc to me seem to be heading to a breakdown..

depends on how big a pay rise he requests for the next season :D
Poor old Ruth
I kept thinking she was going to get out of it somehow but alas that is not to be. Who is next for the chop then :suspect:

First time i've watched it. Was quite impressed. Are the dvd's any good?

I think it should (spoiler tag now added), I always turn off before the trailer so it's annoying to read stuff in episode specific threads like this.

Didn't someone say they saw Rupert on a breakfast show saying "WE start filming series six next january?"
I guess he's here for all of 5 at least and start of 6 then! But yeh as pretty much only character with a running storyline going on, I assume we'll find out soon enough!
does anyone else find "Roz" annoying. i think she is a chuffin bad actress and every time a see i keep thinking terrorists should kill her and put us out of out misery

Said it all along, I just don't like her as an actress, the only thing she was ok in was Cold Feet. I find her facial expression always the same no matter what the scene, she is what I call a cold actress.

her mouth is a little strange too, something not quite right with it :suspect:
I don't have a problem with her in this, she seems to fit in quite well and strikes me as someone who is more likely to be a spy than say Zoe was.
Regarding the DVDs, you might be able to pick up the early series cheaply if you look around.

Play.com (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump2.php?url=http://playcom.at/thedvdforums) are doing some of the boxsets VERY cheap at the moment, definitely worth picking them up.
Just watched it and what an excellent episode but Ruth's gone  .
I'm blubbing too much to write any more.

Watched this last night. Such a shame to see Ruth go. Very good character and the way she left was so Ruth. :D
