View Full Version : Yet another studio goes dual-format
This time it's HBO. Good news because they've just announced that the BD version of Soprano's will arrive at the same time as the HD DVD version. The bad news is that both versions will cost $130 (approx £70)

It shows a bit of respect for the customer that, by allowing them to choose which format they want it on. And also quite commercially clever, cos HBO know they'll be selling more of them that way!
The sooner other studios go the same way the better. May as well cater for both formats even if you're Sony as there's money to be made.

I did smile when I went on Play.com (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump2.php?url=http://clkuk.tradedoubler.com/click?p=20047&a=60823&g=606309) yesterday as a few HD-DVD titles were sold out :)
Just can't believe the price of The Sopranos when you can get a whole season of Smallville on HD-DVD for less then half that price or something silly

Having never seen any episodes of Deadwood - I'd love to see HD-DVD release of that (Assuming it was shot in HD).
