Is it possible to buy a money order in the UK that can be sent to America?
I looked at the post office website and although their postal orders can be cashe din lots of countries, the States isn't one of them.

you should be able to get a foreign draft from your bank which receiver can cash in his usa bank.(just done one to the states for $785)

I'd have a look at USPS site and see if you can as an non resident send a money order within the US.

EDIT : scrub that, looks like you have to buy in person. Unless you have a US Airforce base nearby :) and are allowed access and can buy!

How about Western Union?

Yep, these cost around £10-20. You used to be able to buy and send them online but I don't think that's possible any more. Can you not just paypal the money?

WU would probably be easiest/quickest.

Having tried to do this in the past, the bank draft is the easiest way
