View Full Version : Cahoot Internet Banking problems?
Anyone else having problems with Cahoot online banking? Been down for the last day and their phone line has been engaged a lot. I've finally got into the call queue but who knows how long that will be!

yep, can;t get in either.
Ok, wait was not too long because its not just the website that is down, all their systems have been down for the last 24 hours! They have no ability to check balances or anything. They also have no idea if automated payments and transfers are going though or not as they cannot check.
This is really not good news, will be very ****** off if I lose out on anything financially because of this, certainly I am losing out heavily on interest as I wanted to transfer a load of money to my mortgage offset account yesterday :|
No me neither.
I've been having instant session time out problems for about a week before this happened so assumed it was this, but it seems more serious. If they weren't owned by Santander I would be worried that they had closed access to stop people withdrawing....
Yeah, its not a banking problem it is a tech issue. They said they have had techs working solidly for the last 24 hours to resolve it! The Abbey site was down yesterday too but is now back up. They said they hope it will be resolved by this afternoon at the latest, but were not really sure.
Website is totally down for me now :(

I bet there are a lot of Cahoot customers panicking right now. Couldn't have come at a worse time for them could it?
I imagine there are some, but I would say on average most Cahoot customers are younger internet savvy people that they are aware they are owned by Santander who are reported as a very solid bank.
Brilliant, what with the majority of my money being between cahoot and Kaupthing (and cahoot just about to pay my bond which has been tied up for 6months!). Not a happy situation.
I reckon it may be more sensible soon to keep a stash of money next to my open fire and and use it for fuel.
Wealth-destroyers.
You know - this all demonstrates how these companies get away with murder, it doesn't matter how **** they treat us, how bad their customer service is, how they lose your money and how many times you change your bank. You are always at the mercy of the system. And when it collapses you are insignificant.
DVDforums Credit Union anyone?
Suprised givent he current media this hasn't made the news actually seeing as its been over 24 hours now!
think it's been on working lunch.

A friend of mine called Cahoot and was told the technical problems were due to power issues.

Cahoot had a brief mention on Working Lunch on the BBC this afternoon.
Just rang them again, still no firm ETA but they are expecting them to be up again today. They said that they do believe that automated transactions are going through from what they have been told, but you will not see them on your statement when the system comes back online for upto 24 hours whilst it catches up!

The problem meant customers had no way of accessing their accounts as the group’s call centre was also not operating during the power outage. Regular direct debits and standing orders also went unpaid.
A cahoot spokeswoman said they hoped to have the site back up shortly, adding that payments that should have gone through yesterday were being processed today.
Customers will be sent an email telling them how they can reclaim any money they have lost or penalties they have incurred as a result of the problems

Shocking really, but at least they're back up now.
No they are not! The main page is up but you cannot login to internet banking yet.

Kryten - bearing in mind what the problem is, would it be better to rename this thread - Cahoot Internet Problems?
On first glance it looks like Cahoot are going the HBoS way
Seems they are back now. No transactions showing from teh last couple of days though and I am sure there should have been some. Will have to see if it catches up ok over the next day or two.
