Fist of the North Star(might be out later this year R1).
My personal faves at the mo are Kenshin and Trigun. I did buy Cowboy Bebop volume 1, and was lucky to borrow a copy of VOlume 2, but the complete lack of character development sorta killed it for me, no matter how cool the series looks :)

oh yes !
FOTNS series was much better than the film. I loved the film time round, second found it really boring and TOO much violence, the gory scenes was basically what the film was made up of.
i loved the post apocalyptic world in the series. Bad thing about it though is the blood was white.
i got the first season on tape from when Ch4 showed it.

There was an article at animeondvd.com about Fist of the North Star tv box set --a release next year-not this year.Plus Astro Boy in 2004.
now that Love Hina is finally out, hmm lets see
Noir
To Heart
Boys Be...
and of course
ONE PIECE!!!!!
if you have never seen one piece i suggest anime fans make the upmost effort to see it, one of the funniest (and best converted from manga) series ever.

Plus Astro Boy in 2004.
Hey is there any more information on this? I'm reading a Manga just now and it's so funny (plus very cute). Wouldn't mind seeing the anime series.
Many thanks. :)

One piece has been licensed by 4kids in the US, so that should appear on DVD eventually.
I suppose the most widely anticipated Anime that hasn't been picked up yet is Naruto, which is probably the most popular contemporary anime among western fans right now.

You can still pick up the Ltd ed. Korean boxset with toys/figurines at a fairly reasonable price. It's on my shelf but haven't had a chance to watch it yet bu tis supposed to be very good :)

Is this (http://www.dvdasian.com/cgi-bin/dvdasian/17386.html) it?
Judging from the screengrabs... it looks fairly recent. Is there an older series?

No one mention GUNBUSTER yet? tut, tut :)
Gunbuster's been on DVD for years... I've got it.
I'd love a R2 DVD of Macross 7 or even better Macross Zero. The one I made myself via Kazaa are fab but I want to buy a legit copy. ;)

Yeah but it's a terrible print with burnt in subs. It's also out of print because Kesiki went bust (and rightly so) years ago. There has been no other copies apart from the exelent japanese disks without subs or the terrible chinese knock offs with terrible subs.
Anyway it's not a series but I want to see Tamila 2010 in the UK. The Japanese DVD has english subs but nobody seems to have ever seen it so I've got nobody to talk about it to. Good news is the UK rights are in negotiation now.

regardless of what people say, i still think Dragonball Z is by far he hardest anime series to find. It took me ages to get all the episodes.
My choices gotta be Naruto, Gundam Seed, Full Metal Alchemist and Prince of Tennis!

I've seen it - twice (only on the R2 DVD and once at the London SciFi Festival in 2k3), not sure I understood it even then :)

But isn't it wonderful! It's like art for the eyes. No wait, that's just regular art.
Also (seeing as this thread is back) Keroro Gunso.

Can anyone tell me if Project A-Ko on dvd is really as bad as some reviews say? I remember watching it on C4 and I loved it. Had a certain charm to it.
edit: just realised it was re-released in 2002 with a decent dvd. :)
When I thought Ako I thought it was wierd and very different. Then I check out other anime and found out it was quite run of the mill. There is much better stuff out there, plus doesn't it come in one of those wierd cardboard cases? I hate those things and have a kind of OCD thing about not touching them. Glad they are being phased out.

Care to name a few better but similar themed titles? :)
