Having watched this movie last night (very good by the way, the two male leads are excellent), I was felt the urge to do a search on the girl who plays Venna, anyway it turns out her name is Leelee Sobieski and other films she has been in include:
Uprising
Joyride (the American title for Roadkill)
My First Mister
Deep Impact
and the rather worryingly titled 'A Horse For Danny'
 :D
Make your own conclusion

She is also fantastically creepy in Eyes Wide Shut.

Probably something to do with the term Joyride being associated with the turds who steal cars and race them around the streets.

sorry to bring this out the vaults of retirement, but it was released on region 2 yesterday and i bought it blind. never heard of it before. As the thread says it was released in the states as 'Joyride'.................but what did i think of it?

well i know it was last years film but it was the best film i've seen this year, throughly entertaining and gripping. great performances and a real hidden classic.

Have to agree - brilliant film. Rented this along with Dog Soldiers and i thought it blew DS out of the water.

Bought this on R1 before it hit the cinemas over here, and was impressed by it. One of my fave films from last year.
