Check this story behind the cool new iPod Touch ad:

Nick Haley, who is studying English at the University of Leeds and aged 18, has made up a hip ad for the iPod Touch, inspired by “Music Is My Hot, Hot Sex,” a single by CSS (Cansei de Ser Sexy).

So how’d Apple get his ad? Why, via YouTube of course: “I was sitting on the bus and I got this e-mail on my phone,” Mr. Haley, a native of Warwick, England, said in an interview yesterday from the University of Leeds, where he is a “fresher,” or first-year student.

The message said, “ ‘We represent Apple and we’ve seen what you have produced and we’d like a chat with you,’ ” Mr. Haley recalled, adding: “This seemed ridiculous and far-fetched. My initial reaction was, someone wanted to steal it.”

Nick has definitely hit the big time. his ad will be shown on hit TV show Desperate Housewives and then the 4th game of the World Series between the Boston Red Sox and the Colorado Rockies.

Not a bad idea at all. I liked the VW Nightdriving website, where you could make your own ads from their footage. The idea of doing so, and having the company ask to use your ad, is pretty cool

Knowing Apple I was expecting this story to say how they saw his ad then sued him for copyright infringement
